Is holiness an outward appearance? Is it a condition? Is it a requirement
set forth by God?
God says"Be ye holy as I am holy". He also says "Holiness without, no
man shall see the Lord".
Man as he is , can never be holy, but God in him will make him holy. When
man truly repents from his sinful condition which he came into the world
with ,due to the fall in the garden, God promised in His word He would
come into the individual and dwell in him but man must meet the conditions
set forth by God Himself. Genuinely repent of his sins and without any
reservations or holding back and then be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ.
God promised this to genuine believers. This means you and I if we have
truly repented and been baptized.
Where does the holiness come in then? When God by His Holy Spirit comes into your heart and you are baptized in the Holy Ghost and born again you have become a new creature. You have no desire to do the things you used to do and your desire is to live a holy life according to the word not according to man's teachings.
How can the churches today say they are serving God and teach there
people it's not wrong to dress immorally. Women cutting there hair and
women dressing in men's clothing. The word teaches against such things
as that. Also the bible teaches against men dressing as women and having
long hair.
What is wrong with so called Christians today?
Get back to the Word of God.......Check for Yourselves. Don't take my word for it or another mans word. Read the Word for yourselves.
The Word is what will judge you.
You may say, How dare you judge, I judge not but I can, by the word, be a fruit inspector.
God told me many years ago, "When people get their heart truly right with me then the outward appearance will follow". I truly believe that.
How can God justify his word if He doesn't apply it to all. Be realistic, God is God and He changes not. What He has spoken applies to us today.
Remember Holiness is God for He is Holy and You can't be Holy as He
commands if He doesn't abide in you.
Your probably thanking, I thought we were saved by grace not works? That is very true. By grace are you saved but after His grace has brought to Himself and He has saved you then the works begin.
I sincerely thought of putting the scriptures in to back up this teaching, but I
feel it to be more helpful to you that read this, if you look up the scriptures
for yourselves. I challenge you to get a good bible concordance and look
up this teaching and any other I put on this site to make sure I am right and
you are right with the word.
Remember, the apostle Paul said"Study to show thyself approved".
Jesus said "Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life
and they are they which testify of me".
We could go deeper into this subject and even touch on women preachers
and what the word says about this but once again check out the scriptures
yourself and let God reveal His word to you.
My prayer is that each one be honest and let God reveal His word and not
take man's word for it.
